Weapon Qualification 2020

Weapons Qualifications

by

Lou Martino

Our annual qualification firearm training was held Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the 707 Indoor Shooting Range. We had 20 members of the South Carolina State Constable Alliance in attendance. We would like to thank the Management of 707 Indoor Shooting Range for their hospitality and professionalism in allowing the State Constables to utilize their range to qualify for this annual requirement. We would also like to thank Chief Keziah and Lt. Hofmann of the Surfside Police Department without there volunteering as Training Officers for the Range we would not have completed this requirement.

The Myrtle Beach International Airport invited all of their “MYR Ambassadors” to attend a get together onboard The Barefoot Princes River Boat Ride April 10, 2015 from 11:00am-1:00pm located at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, SC, in appreciation for all of their support to the airport. The boat departed at 11:30pm. Onboard was a little music, dancing, soft breezes, beautiful scenery and great company. Lunch was also provided. There was a cash bar located on deck two with Robin serving many tropical drinks. All enjoyed the trip and fellowship. The volunteers do an outstanding job in support of the airport and as a part of the volunteers the South Carolina State Constables are a part of the volunteer program. Here are a few pictures of that event.

The South Carolina State Constables support Horry County Police Department at the Myrtle Beach International Airport. We have two to three constables working three to four times a week. On February 27, 2015 at 5:30pm we were all invited to attend Steve Miller’s retirement ceremony at Angelo’s Steak House in Surfside Beach, SC. Steve is one of the Horry County Police Department officers serving with the airport. Steve was instrumental in supporting the constables and took the time to ensure that we were well trained as support officers at the airport. Here are the pictures of his retirement. We will surely miss working with Steve. Thank you for you support and friendship.
